Months ago, I stopped asking what my tumor markers were after evey blood test. It's not worth fretting over. All that matters is that they're in the normal range and not showing a rising pattern. Everybody's AFP, etc., has minor flucuations. I figure if there is a real concern, the doctor will call me.
Your markers are normal. If something changes, your doctor will let you know.

I agree with dadmo this isn't a "false positive" at this point. Both markers are normal. Let's see what happens in March.
Congratulations to you and your wife!!

Tumor markers. I hate them, I go crazy watching my sons bounce around. Nobody wants to see their markers move up but yours are in the normal range. I wouldn't consider this as an indicator of much, it needs to be watched but hopeing that it's a false positive is a bit strong since the numbers are in the normal range.

Tumor markers and what they mean
Well I am back for a liitle more.
So far everything had looked good. I just got my markers back after 3 and a half months after righty left. What does everyone think about this. My doctor says he is hoping for a "false positive". I just worry. Also my sperm count in Jan 8thish was at 2.5 mil, and on the 8th of Feb it was only 1.5mil. On the good news though my wife is 5 weeks pregnant, which is how I found my sperm count. We were doing IUI's to get pregnant. Thanks for you comments.
Pre operation
AFP is only at 17
and my HCG was at 4.7
December, at least thats what he told me
AFP is at 0
HCG was at 0
And now finally Feb 18th
AFP is at 2.8
HCG is 1.4Tags: None
