  • A little worried

Hey everyone. I have a question that someone here may be able to answer. I have been having some minor aches in my left testical lately. It may be due to too many self exams, and aware of it due to my previous cancer, or just that I changed from briefs, to boxer briefs. There is no lump there, just some minor pain. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this after they have had it in the other one. I am probably just so aware of the fact that it could come back, and am worrying too much. I have my next visit 3/28, and will let DR. know of this of it continues.
    Thank you to all here.

It's probably nothing. However, just to make sure and if anything just for peace of mind, I would get an ultrasound sorted out.

I had pain on my left testicle (the "good" one) for 4 months after the operation, but nothing after that.

    Bye!

I have pain in my Left testicle often also. Before I had the 3xBEP last July, I made the oncologist order an ultrasound on the left one. There is a small cyst at the base of the epididymis, which can sometimes flare up and cause pain. The scrotum sometimes swells correspondingly. Every time it gets painful I inspect it carefully, since that's what drove me to the doctor the first time with the right side. Actually, matter of factly, I inspect my left testicle about 20 times a day.

I would definitely try to get an ultrasound and hopefully it is nothing.

        Hi,

I was the same, some pain in the remaining testicle, and I didnt know if it was something bad or if I was checking too much. I had an ultrasound done to be sure, and it showed up a small cyst. Pretty common aparently. After I knew that it wasnt a second TC the aches arnt happening nearly as often, and I even manage to go some days without having a check for lumps

As the other guys suggest, get an ultrasound sorted to be safe, but you should be OK.

I double checked the LEFT ultrasound report from last July pre Chemo Rx. I actually have two benign epididymal cysts AND a hydrocele. It's chemo-brain again. In any case, some reasons for the discomfort.
