I also think that the more you sit and reflect on what a terrible disease this is and what is has and is doing to you now-- the worse it,s going to get... You are very emotional right now- being a musician you know as well as I that some of the best songs ever written and music composed were the product of life hardships(death, illness, broken heart, etc.) I bet if you transfered your emotions into music you would have one hell of a CD..You have all the inspiration one could ask for... Maybe you could cut a CD and donate some of the profits to cancer research!!!!!! If you did this you would not only personally beat cancer--You would make it possible in some ways for others to beat cancer...How cool would that be??????? Just a thought!!!! I'm trying to get your mind off of the negatives and reflect on all the possitves!!!!!! DONMoffitt Cancer Institute

[QUOTE=AdrianB1971] I'm thinking especialy to USA who declared war to cancer 30 years ago but unfortunately the battle is lost.
I don't know how that could be said!!!!! Granted thousands of people die from cancer every year but thousands of people that should have or could have died, have been saved due to the advances we have made in cancer research.. Many women with breast cancer that would have died 20 years ago are living longer or full lives today... If this web site was operational 20 years ago it certainly wouldn't have almost 2000 members--it would have maybe 100 because most of us would have lost our battles with cancer... The advances made in cancer treatment is the reason we are all hear today.. There is no way that any of us will see all cancers cured in our life time but we are making sure that our future generations have the ability to beat cancer--and someday they will.... when you were diagnosed with cancer 20-30 years ago your chances of survival over 1 year were less then 35%--survival over 5 years was less than 20%--- Now survival rates are between 65 and 96% depending on which cancer you have and what stage it's caught in !!!!!! We haven't YET won the war , but we have won countless battles--It's only a matter of time until the war is won!!!!!Moffitt Cancer Institute

Thx DON
at your advice DON, I'm surrounded again by keyboards, computers, audio mixers and some new musician friends. I think I'm discovering myself from darkness. My emotions are indeed more stronger than before. My 'old' synthesizers are awaiting me. My fingers are running on keyboards faster than beforeI won the battle with neurologic side effects from cisplatin. And my hair...is so long...] and my painful breasts masses after chemo have disappeared....and the lower back pain has gone....and the swollen supraclavicular neck lymph is normal now.....YES you guys, you're right. I'm a lucky guy, and I'm thankful to researcers who discovered the chemo for TC . I still cant bealive that 30 years ago I should be DEAD.
Now back to work....the world of new sounds is awainting me.....Last edited by AdrianB1971; 03-16-06, 06:33 AM.2005-03
