Danny just completed his 11th month check-up on surveillance and cat scans and blood work are all normal. Also his testosterone levels are much better too. A couple of months ago we were concerned about his T level being 578 which is in the normal range but considered low normal. Those tests were taken 5 months after his I/O. His T level is now 818, 11 months after his I/O. Do you think that it took that much time for his testosterone levels to normalize or are they flucuating for some other reason. I know I sound crazy to be concerned about great news but I can't help myself, I still worry about everything .

Linda, that's great news for his 11 month check up, I know you are relieved. Now regarding the T level, we would be estatic to have my husband's level be in the 587 range. Ahhh. . . we are allowed to dream!I think it's pretty normal to for you to worry about whether or not everything is back to normal, especially as a mom with her son. I know how I am with my little boy and I can't see myself not feeling that way about him. April

Wonderful news, Linda. What schedule is he on? Jeff has a bad cold, sinus infection, and horrible cough. If I didn't know that his pulmonary test showed he recovered 100% lung capacity and his CT scan and blood markers were normal I would be worried. I can remember after my husband's bout with TC. The doctor said that if it showed up anywhere it was going to be the lungs. Every time he coughed my stomach got weak. Now that I look back I wish I hadn't had so much fear and wasn't always waiting for the next shoe to drop, that being said, I've started it all over again with my son. Keep posting the good news! DianneSpouse: I/O 8/80; embryonal, seminoma, teratoma; RPLND 9/80 - no reoccurrence - HRT 8/80; bladder cancer 11/97; reoccurrence: 4X
Son: I/O 11/04; embryonal, teratoma; VI; 3XBEP; relapse 5/08; RPLND 6/18/08 - path: mature teratoma
