For what it's worth my son's shot was always on the tuesday following his round of chemo. I knew that Leukemia was a possibility because of the treatments but I did't know that it was related to the Neulasta. If that is indeed correct wouldn't it be better to simply give a transfusion when the counts are to low?
I had to check the "drug information sheet" that was given to me with the Neulasta. I seem to recall reading somewhere that there was a very slight chance of developing leukemia from Neulasta, but there was no mention of it in the list of potential side effects given for it, so perhaps you're right.
It's also my understanding that the chemo itself can lead to leukemia - something like a 1% chance if I recall correctly.
