Well i made it up and back from the Clinic. I had a cat scan done same day and more blood work. AFP=102 now, doctor called and stated that I have two spots showing up on the cat scan between the spine and chest (hence, the horrendous pain i have in my back between the shoulder blades). Everything else is clear; no lymph nodes appear involved.

I go back tuesday to speak with an oncologist there. I have been told that the next step is chemo, and surgery is probably NOT going to be needed they said. This sucks I have to do more chemo but lifes a ***** then we die!!! Anyone have a clue what type of chemo drugs I will be needing, and if the duration is shorter that 4xEP?

I am sorry to hear you have to undergo more chemo but just remember it's a means to an end!!!!!!!!Salvage chemo is usually VIP,TIP or Oxilplatin/Gemzar... There are many, many choices for salvage chemo and you should talk long and hard with you Oncologist about what regimen is going to work the best for you in your situation... I had 3 round TIP salvage chemo from start to finish it took 81 days (6 days of chemo then 21 days off)..Savage chemo is usually quite a bit stronger then EP or BEP chemo and does have stonger side affects but the results are usually really good..... Best of luck to you!!!!!

I wish you the best of luck with your chemo. I had a relapse four years later and chemo worked for me. I am sure that you will be ok and will pray for you.
