Has anyone ever had high dose chemo and stem cell transplant following a rise in tumor markers after 4 x BEP that resulted in remission? My husband is about to start it and in everything I read I'm finding people whom it was not successful for. I'm wondering if he should even bother. He is getting the treatment in Indiana and Dr. Einhorn says that he has a 50% or greater chance at complete remission after it but I cannot find any stories on this site where it was successful. If you have experienced the high dose chemo and stem cell and it was successful please let me know. Also please let us know what to expect. Thanks

Yeh ive wondered the same. Ive not read one success story from high dose. Though ive read quite a few stories about how VIP and TIP have worked. Weird.

There are a lot of success stories. It also depends on what type of testicular cancer he has.
