    Radiation

    Hi - I've been marked up today and I'm due to start radiation tomorrow but i've not been offered a 'nut-case' (and forgot to ask) for protection from the rays... should I be concerned?

    PS The radiation is targeting my lymph nodes and won't be going below my belly button.

    It might be a good idea to ask about the testicle sheild, but if they are not doing the pelvic area, your nut may not get much radiation.

    Best wishes for a smooth ride through the treatments.

      Thanks for your reply Jim - I'm only being zapped on my abdominal lymphs so apparently no need.

      Just looking for other peoples' experiences... has anyone else felt anything whilst being radiated?

      On my first day, when it did my front, I could feel my stomach muscles pulsating and also felt a kind of slight static shock on my skin!

      I'm also flaking out about 2 and 1/2 hours after treatment - I have a sicky feeling but my medication is keeping this at bay (so glad i took the tablets and didn't try to fight it!!!)

      Only another 6 treatments to go...
