Quick update. Good news

Well so far so good. I am keeping my chin up as I am a lucky one. So far after 3 CAT scans and x-rays nothing to worry about, all clear. I do have some other issues though, and would love to here your thoughts.
First I found out that I have internal hemeriods, and wounder if that has any effect of the cancer.
Also, my wife and I lost the pregnancy we had. It wasn't developing correctly and was just 7 weeks into it. I have had a recent sperm analisis and they were going to freeze any good ones found. Unfortunatly, they were unable to find any to freeze. That has really gotten me down. Any thoughts on that subject? Everything else is good, so I am really lucky, but wanted to have kids of my own some day.

hey man, I would keep on it and definitely try again to see if they can freeze some. what is your testosterone level? after the Right I/O, I had almost 0 testosterone and it has been fluctuating up and down ever since. if you get into taking readings, make sure you note at what point during the day they take the blood because the testosterone level will vary at different points in the day. I think it usually highest in the morning and then tapers off.

my oncologist told me that everyone that develops TC has TWO abnormal testicles since birth, regardless of whether both develop TC or not. my advice is to keep trying and hopefully something good will happen. don't give up.

I am afraid that apache is not totally wrong. I have read a similar quote on the net a few months ago. It was saying that if someone born with an undescended testis he can develop TC in both, not necessarily the undescended one. I still believe that i have only 1 or 2% chances to have a problem with lefty

It is true that if you've had cancer in one testicle, your odds of having it in the other are higher than the general population's. However, that's still uncommon. It only happens to 3 or 4 out of 100.

My understanding is that tc patients are twice as likely as the general population to get tc in the remaining testicle. That still makes gives you only a 3% chance of getting it again.

My onco has always talked to me about 1%
Since i come to this site i see numbers like 4% sometime.

Lower back pain

Hello again.

I must say that there are some of the best people I have ever talked to in these forums. Its an honor to be part of this club.

And now for further information wanted. I seem to have a bit of lower back pain on the right hand side. During one of my original posts, they told me that in a CT scan they showed "prominent mesenteric lymph nodes in right lower quadrant" and never have I noticed those words scense then. I have had multiple CT scans as well. I am at work and don't remember looking for the same diag before and it just came to me. Is there anyway they can be related? Also I just had blood work done for testostorone levels do to infertility issues. I hope I am not just being to much of a whimp here. Thanks for your thoughts.

forgot to ad,I do notice at times when I take a nap to wake up very sweaty. Has happened at night, but mostly just naps.

Lots of things can cause back pain, but it's best to give your oncologist a call and ask him about it.
