    26-05-2006 - [13 months of surveillance]

    HCG = 0.0
    AFP = 4.1

    Anxiety dropped


    Surveillance protocol changed to blood test every 3 months and CAT every year.

    [more 3 months of life]

    2005-03
    Stage III EC 85% + Sem 15%
    AFP=2.6; HCG=10, 20,28 and rising
    FULL CAT scan:
    -abdominal lymph clear
    -subpleural lungs metastasis [bipulmonary lesions with diam <= 1cm]
    4 x BEP changed to 3 x BEP at my request
    from 2005-05....Surveillance

    Wow that's great. Good blood work and lowered anxiety. Congratulations.

    Treated by Dr. Rakowski of Midland Park, NJ. Visited Sloan Kettering for protocol advice. RPLND done at Sloan Kettering.

        Excellent news!
        Retired moderator. Husband, left I/O 16Dec2005, stage I seminoma with elevated b-HCG, no LVI, RTx15 (25Gy). All clear ever since.

          Glad you hear your great results...Sloan just called and Chris' were good too.....when Karen said in the normal range I didn't even ask what the AFP was..just glad to hear "normal range...".one more month and Chris gets to go every other month...what a treat that will be...enjoy...Mary Ellen

                        Thanx to all. I wish you guys to receive only good news.
                        tccancercop ... the cancer monster has a notorius ability to reccur again and again. As I mentioned in my post, I'm glad I'm having more 3 months of cancer free life. Who knows how will be the next med checkup.... Now, you have such a hard time and bealive me, I understand you 100%. You are much, much stronger than me. I have a persistent sensation that I have no enough power to fight against cancer in case of reccurence.
