  • Bubble on my scrotum where testicle was removed

I have my last radiation treatment this coming Monday Feb 5. All went good and the doctor only gives a recurrance of 1 to 2% chance of TC coming back and I see my urologist on Firday the 9th.

To my question, The side where they removed my testicle, on the top of my scrotum a 1/4" bubble like formed on the top of my testicle. I showed it to oconolist. but he did not seemed worried. I plan on showing this to my urologist on friday, but I was wondering if anyone had this same bubble on the side of where the testicle was removed, and what would it be? Is this caused where they snipped my testicle from what ever it was attached to ?

    Thank You in Advance
    Dennis

Dennis, I'm not sure from your description where the bubble is located. If it's inside the scrotum at the end of where the spermatic cord was cut, it may be a small hematoma.

Yes, it looks like it is from the inside nothing that started on the out side

blood is bad to form in pockets and become hemotomas, as scott said, when you have surgery below the waist. i'm sure it will subside and the urologist will let you know for sure. best of luck with surveillance. my thoughts and prayers, brian!

i had my Right I/o on 5/5 and still have a large scrotal hematoma about the size of a plum. Saw the Urologist about it Wednesday and he said not to worry about it. He said it would take another 2 months or so to be reabsorbed.
          dx May 3, 2006, left I/O May 5, seminoma stage I, RTx16 (24Gy) completed June 26, 2006, all clear.

I had a hematoma also, about the size of a large grape. It took about six weeks to be completely re-absorbed, but I could tell it was slowly shrinking. It sounds like that's what you've got. But you're wise to ask the urologist to check it out.
