    Did he rule out surveillance because of the embryonal?
    Son Jason diagnosed 4/30/04, stage III. Right I/O 4/30/04. Graduated College 5/13/04. 4XEP 6/7/04 - 8/13/04. Full open RPLND 10/13/04. All Clear since.

      No, he didn't rule out surveillance. He said it was my choice, it seemed to me though he was in favor of the surgery. I'm going to see an oncologist to get a second opinion on what I should do.

        My only take on this is that, with the operation you will be cured and be able to possibly avoid chemo. If you go into surveillance, and need treatment down the road it will probably include chemo along with the RPLND.
