Don't know how long it takes to get back on your feet from the stem cell transplant, but I've been thinking and praying all went OK. Stay strong.

Tho' much is taken, much abides; and though we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are; one equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will; to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Yeah I'm doing fine. I'm out of the hospital! I get a break in between transplants. I got out after being in for only 2.5 weeks which the doctors were impressed with how quickly I recovered and very little side effects I experienced (the only big one was mouth sores). My AFP dropped from over 600+ to 97.5 as of Wednesday 7-26. So hopefully it has dropped much more! So i'm happy with the result so far. I had a pet scan before the first transplant and it showed a little cancer near my spine (which was still dying due to radiation treatments at that time). Doctor said we won't even bother doing another pet scan in between transplants since I didn't show much cancer on the first one. I also met a fellow close to my age (25) that had a transplant this spring for recurrent testicular cancer and is doing fine now. Hopefully he is cured for good now and I think that as long as my AFP goes down and stays there . . .i will be cured.
