    Latest blood work:

    AFP = 1.6
    B-HCG = Not detected

    CXR negative also.

    When I went in for my x-ray last week, the tech told me that TC forms very distinctive signatures on chest x-rays. The lung metastases are almost perfectly round and are called "cannonballs", according to the tech. Has anyone heard of this? Just wondering. She said that a recent patient had these in his lungs.

    First congratulations on the great follow-up. I don't really think that's the medical term but my sons onc called what Lance had "golf balls". My guess from your comment, and our doctors, is that the lung tumors are round. I'm going to have to check on that one.
    Son Jason diagnosed 4/30/04, stage III. Right I/O 4/30/04. Graduated College 5/13/04. 4XEP 6/7/04 - 8/13/04. Full open RPLND 10/13/04. All Clear since.

    Treated by Dr. Rakowski of Midland Park, NJ. Visited Sloan Kettering for protocol advice. RPLND done at Sloan Kettering.

      Congrats on the check up and for getting to 10 months, my husband's tumors in the lungs were round also, they described them as little spots. April

        Tho' much is taken, much abides; and though we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are; one equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will; to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
