      Jennifer,
Glad you're getting Einhorn in the loop. I wish there were words to say or things to do to make this better, but all I can say is stay strong, stay hopeful, and know we're are pulling for you and your husband.

                    Jennifer.

I'm sending you a private email with my personal email and phone number. Please call me. I know EXACTLY where you are at and what you are going through. My husband passed away from testicular cancer in April but we never gave up, even at the end.

There are other treatment options NOT part of the standard treatment protocol for testicular cancer and maybe I can help you with that.

                    Hang in there.

My family will pray for you and your husband

Jennifer, May your faith comfort you. Try to enjoy every day and count it as a blessing. My family and I meet every night to count our blessings, we will certainly include you and your family in our prayers. It helps.

I am just curious and I couldn't tell, did your husband have the RPLND (lymph node surgery) and how old is he? I used to live in beautiful Scottsdale and I hope to retire there some day.

                        Kevin,

No he has never had the rplnd. He is 32 years old. They did chemo 3xbep, hcg still elevated, then 2x vip , hcg still elevated, then tandem stem cell transplant, hcg still elevated. Had a 1 inch mass in the lymphnode in abdomen,Then they scheduled surgery for rplnd, cancelled it the night before and thought that doing 5 weeks radiation would be better to shrink it, he went through 4 weeks of radiation and got sick, all the sypmtoms of pneumonia , no energy, fever, trouble breathing, coughing. Went in for a chest xray and chest ct scan and it showed the lungs had tumors all over them. so it wasn't pneumonia it was the cancer. The doctor said he had roughly 2 months to live. The Dr also said he could do salvage chemo but it would only extend his life a month or so and it would be inpatient and basically referred us to hospice. So that's the short of it. Now they will not do any surgery according to the Mayo because the cancer spread bilaterally in the lungs.

I'm no doctor.. but with this type of thing, 2 months doesn't always mean 2 months. When my grandma had her first cancer the doctors told her she had 6 months to live. This was over 20 years ago and she's still alive.
