Sex during/after RT

Hi,

My RT doctor has recommended not to have unprotected sex after RT and has recommended waiting for at least six months. His reasoning was that the RT may alter DNA and could possibly cause defects in the baby.

If you have had RT were you given the same advice?

My fiance's doctor told him the same, he told him actually that the ideal time to wait is 2 years, but a year is OK...so just in case,, use some protection..
