radiation therapy

How soon you guys started therapy after the surgery?
Is it something that needs to be done as soon as possible? Like same month?
I had surgery September 27 and I have an appointment with radiation oncologists on October 24.

I was told that they want you to be well healed from surgery, but did not want to wait more than about 6 weeks to start. For me, the start date was up to me within the bounds of the radiation facility's scheduled openings. To just get it over with, I started about 3-1/2 weeks after surgery - which I thought was pretty quick, overall.

Sounds like your schedule would be about a month from surgery, assuming you start within a few days of your appointment, which is right in the range of what my doctors were hoping for.
