  • Just a nice little story

We are at day 8 of round 4 chemo. As we gathered the energy on Sunday night, getting ready for the Monday AM chemo, my son strongly announced that he "had something to do at 5:30pm." Now as a caregive and "Mom" getting ready for the 4th round, the nature of the comment and incomplete information left me just a little short. Maybe using some techniques that worked when he was a bit younger , I strongly stated that leaving me with dangling thoughts would just not cut it!! "I'm going for coffee!!" .............. Her name is Amanda. Pretty much, the eyelashes and eyebrows finished off with the last shower, the blood is a bit thin, we waded through the first week of the 4th round and they are holding hands, full of smiles and sharing conversations of re-growing the body and fun places to go. I don't think "strong dilutes!!" Pushing on, Russell's Mom, Sharon

Reminds me of a line in an Indigo Girls song,"Pendulum Swinger"

"But you can't keep a spirit down that wants to get up again!"

      Wonderful story, Sharon!
