  • Expert help for Calif residents

This door just opened for all (and I have to say there were tears of joy for quite a while) California residents. I spoke with the group to make sure that it would be approprate to post this inforamtion, and yes, the doors are open for new and re-occuring CA patients. (Not just testicular, if you know of anyone else who needs help.)
The name of the organization is The Second Opinion, through the Regional Cancer Foundation. Second Opinion will provide a group of 5 specialists who will meet with the survivor and family to review and discuss the best options and treatment for your disease. (I am not exagerating on the word experts here, the names mentioned are also those listed on the webs sites as experts in the field.)
After all documents, tests, scans, and actual pathology slides have been reviewed, Russell and I will meet with all of the MDs. (Surgeon, Pathologist, Oncologist, Urologist, Radiologist) From this meeting we will be guided for the next steps/journey. Please let me know if you need further information.

    Happy for you

That sounds really great. I think all patients and families should get the chance to meet with the team and hear the discussion. I hope and pray it works out well for you, and you get some inspired wisdom for what next.

    God Bless

Wow! That is sure good to know. I hope I don't need it, but will definitely keep that information in my file - someone I know or love will need it sometime. Thanks for sharing it.

        web address

For the first time in over three months, I woke up without a knot in my neck! Russell's disease will be reviewed by a panel of 5 experts, including the oringinal pathology slides, CTs etc etc, then we will meet with them, all together to review the past, present and future. (Tears of gratitude kept rollling down my cheeks for about an hour....occasional reoccurance on a daily basis.) I am adding the actual web address for those interested. (I believe that these people may be at the top of Maslow's chart!!)
