Sorry Scott, I will shut up about the naturopathic treatments from now on.

Surveillance can be an option for stage I seminoma even with vascular invasion, as long as you're committed to long-term follow-up. Vascular invasion increases the odds of metastasis, but it doesn't definitely mean it has occurred. You and your doctors may decide against it, but you should at least discuss the possibility of giving it a little more time to be sure your treatment is both necessary and sufficient.

In my case it wasn't an option because my report showed vascular invasion.
First CT scan covered only abdomen and pelvic and showed several less than 8 mm nodes. Second CT scan (chest abdomen and pelvic) within 30 days showed same nodes in abdomen and additional node in chest. You know rest of the story about the initial size etc.

That sounds like normal size lymph nodes. Has anyone discussed the possibility of sticking with surveillance for now until you know there's something there that needs to be treated?

Yes it did show several less than 8 mm nodes. Both CT scans showed it.

Remind me, did your abdominal CT scan show anything?

    Scott,

Radiation oncologists suggested for chemo when I told him about this node and asked me to bring the disk that he and his radiologist can review it.
He called me later and told me about report mistake. I also think that to make radiation now and later on end up with chemo it's stupid.
My next CT scan in 3 month.
Or go ahead with radiation and think that chest area is fine as doctor told me?

My radiation oncologists called me yesterday and told me that he reviewed images with radiologist and the think that radiologist in the hospital where CT scan was made mistaken.
He counted 2 lymph nodes instead of 1 because there are 2 nodes very close in this area.
He told me that we should continue with radiation. Radiation starts on Monday.
Should I go with radiation? I’m really lost here.
I cannot get second opinion by monday

Alex, I think your enlarged lymph node is clearly suspicious, but not definitely cancer. How soon does it get checked again? Is anyone suggesting you may be better off with chemotherapy now than radiation?

    Lymph nodes size

All my oncologists told me different sizes. From 1.5 to 2.
I found a lot of studies on the internet and here is one where you can find specific sizes by area.
I got lymph node in chest 1.6 cm and my oncologists thinks that it's not suspicious yet.
    Don't know what to think.

What sizes you got and where?
