Does anybody know if the TC cell type can change each time a guy has a reccurence of TC? My brother was diagnosed in June 05 and from the orchidectomy it said that he had 90% Yolk Sac tumor and 10% Embryonal Carcinoma Stage III Nonseminomatous.
He is currently doing a second round of high dose chemo with stem cell transplant, and the dr's sound not so hopeful. They told me that surgery is not a option but I just thought that may be he had a different cell type than from th beginning then that would be why it is so hard to get rid of this cancer. Does anyone know how they would find out if it was a different cell type.
