Still not sure if this was a reccurence or a seperate occurence. I had a met? in my mediastinum which was obstructing my trachea, esophagus, and pushing against my thoracic vetebrae. Happened ~ 1 1/2 years after radiation. But they never did radiate where the met showed up.
I have suspicious node in this area. My doctor told me that they usually treat it with chemo because it’s already stage II.
How large was your node? I surprise that CT didn’t catch it.
Seminoma can recur after radiation treatment, and it almost happens always in the lungs/chest. A recurrence within the radiated area is very, very, rare, because seminoma is so sensitive to radiation. Recurrence in the chest is usually treated by chemo since irradiating that area can have more severe side effects. Has your node gotten any bigger? CT scans of the chest often pick up nodules that are not cancer.
Best wishes.

Tho' much is taken, much abides; and though we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are; one equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will; to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
