We are still waiting on the PET/CT scan. My husband called the Onc's office yesterday, the assitant to the Dr is getting very annoyed with my husband calling all the time to see if they have made any decisions yet. Yesterday the assitant told my husband he needs 2-3 days to figure things out.

Is this really supposed to be taking this long? I am so annoyed and frustrated with dr's office. I even tried calling today to copies of all of his records, left a message and still haven't heard back. I know they are busy but it is getting old not moving anywhere with them.

I do have a question. Do I need to be concerned this is taking so long? How fast is 100% embryonal carcinoma capable of spreading?

It has now been two week since we should have had the PET/CT scan done and still no go. My husband said he is leaving the Dr's office alone now, he says the nurse sounds like he is on top of things and will contact him.

On a more "postive" note, my husband did mention yesterday he will be mentioning his fatuige to his Dr next time he sees him. I guess that means it is getting even worse.

His abdominal pain also continues to grow slightly. He also had a pain in his should yesterday that was gone by this morning. He decided he was turning into a hypocondriach. Kind of hard not to at this point, without any finished testing.

Another postive note, the PET/CT that they want to do is supposed to be from neck to pelvis, which will help ease any fears I have of them missing something.

Now if we could only get the insurance company to approve it!

      Becki.

Where did he get the Pet Scan done? Just contact that office directly and you can get the report. That's what Kevin and I always did for all scans. We always got a copy (CD with the image and the report) for our records.

I got your email. I sent one back. please, please call me. I have some good suggestions for you.

We finally found a PET scan

After waiting for over two weeks the Dr's office finally found a place to do just a PET scan. So next Wed my husband will finally get his PET scan so we can continue with treatment!

After wating for several days and with my husband starting to seem like he was feeling so poorly it is was great to hear some good news!

It is always what I am searching for, the good news!
