The whole digestive tract grows quickly along with bone marrow. That's why you hear so much about digestive problems and low white blood cell counts. It really is amazing stuff. Sperm grows quickly also.

Just a curious question
I was reading through a post and all the emphasis on how chemo kills fast growing cells. Like the embryonal carcinoma.
And therefor explains why it does no good to use chemo on teratoma.
I am just curious what yolk sac tumors are considered then?
I am not even sure that fast growing is considered when it comes to lymph nodes.
It is just an interesting way to look at how chemo works.
