Hey guys,
Well I have another follow up comming up on March 15th. So far I had 1 CT scan and chest scan, as well as bloodwork since my surgery, and it was all clear.
I had gotten no treatment after my surgery, so basically I got diagnosed, had my left one removed, and the survailance.
The doctors basically said it was very small (around 5mm, seminoma stage I) and told me my best bet was to get survaillance. They said radiation was not really needed from what they saw, and said it could do more harm then good in the long run if everything stays good with just the surgery.
I must say life is back to normal after about 2 months post surgery and mostly I don't think about it much. I must admit I don't hang out on this forum as much as I did at first. And I am wondering how many guys with "no problems" after the surgery stay away from the forums.
To be honest, most of the time out of sight, out of mind. But every once in a while I like to come here and see how everyone else is doing.
As for my life I must say it has not changed much. My diet hasn't changed as much, and neither has my lifestyle. I definitley think that more excersize and a strict good diet would probably help my cause in the long run.
I cant report any problems with anything, other then an occasional discomfort in my remaining testicle (mostly after "use") and perhaps a little down on the stamina, but otherwise not too bad.
Of course there is a little stress comming on as the date of yet another checkup closes, but in reality better to be looked at often, then neglected.
So how many ppl. on here have had similar luck so far, only surgery and then only survailance, and no problems? And for how long?
Thanks a lot guys, keep up the great site!
Diagnosis and left orchy early July 2006. First follow up August 15th (to review results post surgery), second follow up CT scan, Chest scan and bloodwork Nov 23rd, third follow up tests comming up march 15th.
Seminoma stage I, 5mm, confined to left teste, testicle removed.
