  • we lost the battle

I would like to let you know that my son kevin (18) lost his fight last week after a hard year of Chemo ,R/therapy and more chemo. We found out 10 days ago that the cancer had spread to his brain. He is my hero and kept me going all year with his determination to fight this but it got the better of him. Now we have to find the strength to go on without him.
I can only stress to teenagers how important it is to talk to your parents about everything and anything.

I am so sorry for you're lost as I just lost my brother Neal to TC on Feb 5/07. It is very hard and trying, even I dont know how I am going to make it through this year.
I for sure know how you feel right now, but just take each day day by day.

Oh no, I am not sure there is anything I can say to comfort you but I am sending out my prayers for a wonderful second life for your son and peace for you. I have a son myself, he is 7 years old and when I read this I just want to hug him tightly and I promise you I will have him checked as he grows. They tell me that just because my husband has TC that there is no reason to feel that my son is at risk...but doctors don't know everything.

You are a very brave woman and I am not sure I could be as strong as you are! I am sure your son was a hero, but you are mine.

                  love,
