  • chemo cycle one, day one is over

Well day one is down (of BEP). I will be going to sleep in a few minutes. It went really well and I feel great today. I'm not 100% obviously, but I was able to eat a ton and even see the movie 300. Hopefully a lot of days will go like this.

As far as food goes, this place takes orders and gets the food delivered from a local deli (they pay for it too). This was one of my initial concerns. Otherwise there are only a few things I have left to figure out, and those all correlate with my weight training and what I will do post chemo.
    Right I/O - 100% Embryonal Carcinoma
AFP Slightly Elevated and CT Scan shows two swolen nodes,
3xBEP began March 12, 2007. Am now all clear and on surveillance

What a scary time this must be for you. I'm so glad to hear your first day was fairly good, take it easy, it will wear you down by weeks end, (sorry for being blunt) stay away from crowds, and take your meds. Keep us posted.

Good deal. Day one is always the longest.

Keep up the eating in short spurts, and get ready for some epic naps in the afternoons. Set up a hammock if it's warm enough!

Thanks for the replies. Going back in 30min for the start of day 4. I think I am handling the side effects well so far, but it isnt too exciting to go obviously.

The good news is that I got 3 or 4 guys willing to shave their heads tomorrow. lol. So that will be pretty funny. No girls would do it though
