    My Boyfriend

    Hello, sorry for my english...

    to my boy they have found a tumor to tetsicolare the past November. From the istiologico examination it turns out to be an embryonic carcinoma.
    From the CT are emerged 12 metastases to lungs of dimension 2mm - 13mm.
    After the orchiectomy:

    AFP --> 15
    BHCG --> 346

    the last week he has finished 4 cycles of peb.
    From your experiences which are the guarigione possibilities?
    Moreover if the chemio it does not resolve the problem which are porssimi the steps?

    Right I\O 11/28/06 - 100% EC with vascular invasion - CT shows enlarged abdominal lymph node (30mm) and 12 small lung nodules (the bigger 13mm) - Chemo started 01/02/2007 - 4xBEP - end 03/22/2007 - 03/22/2007 tumor marker normal - 04/23/2007 CT shows two small lung nodules (3mm and 4 mm) and lymph node 12mm - 05/23/2007 tumoral marker normal - 06/06/07 CT is stable - 07/23/07 tumoral marker normal - 08/02/2007 CT-PET shows all clear - On surveillance from 08/04/07

    Tumors on the lungs are never good but with testicular cancer it is quite common so do let those tumors cause any special fear. The chemo they gave your boyfriend is exactly right for someone with his symptoms. The doctors will do more bloodwork and xrays to check how well it worked. During his treatment the doctors should have done run more tests on his blood if those markers are comming down he has a great chance of the chemo killing all of his cancer, my guess is he will be fine.
    Son Jason diagnosed 4/30/04, stage III. Right I/O 4/30/04. Graduated College 5/13/04. 4XEP 6/7/04 - 8/13/04. Full open RPLND 10/13/04. All Clear since.

    Treated by Dr. Rakowski of Midland Park, NJ. Visited Sloan Kettering for protocol advice. RPLND done at Sloan Kettering.

        Stage III EC 85% + Sem 15%
        AFP=2.6; HCG=10, 20,28 and rising
        FULL CAT scan:
        -abdominal lymph clear
        -subpleural lungs metastasis [bipulmonary lesions with diam <= 1cm]
        4 x BEP changed to 3 x BEP at my request
        from 2005-05....Surveillance

            left I/O 1/9/07 - 95% embrional carcinoma 5% seminoma with vascular invasion afp 27 bhcg 80- 2/10/07 ct and markers clean, left rplnd 4/23/07 3 microscopic lynph node found with ec - 3/30/09 all clean
