  • Help with side-effects

Hi everyone. I am currently on my 4th cycle of BEP. I haven't really experienced any nausea or vomiting till now. I think the Emend capsules they gave my can be thanked for this.

I have however started vomiting now. I think this is because I suffer from hyper salivation and my mouth is constantly overproducing mucus. Is there anyone that can help me with this problem?

    THANKS

Hi, sorry to hear you feel bad.

I wanted to tell you about this ginger gum they offered my husband at the cancer center. It is a bit spicy, like ginger, and a bit sweet, like ginger ale and it eased some of that salivation for my husband. I am not sure where they bought it, we live in North Carolina, but I am sure you could find it at your local drug store. I hope this tip helps and I hope you feel better.

Not sure if the cause was the same, but I vomited several times and definitely felt like I wanted to vomit on many occasions.

I can recommend a home remedy that worked wonders for me when I felt nausea building.

About 8 ounces of club soda and about eight drops of Angostura bitters. (Just enough to turn the club soda a very light pink). They sell bitters in grocery and liquor stores around here.

I don't know why, but from the first sip this would settle my stomach and let the nausea pass. There is a tiny amount of alcohol in this, contained in the bitters, but not enough that I ever felt it.

a couple tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in water will help settle your stomach...it's been posted elsewhere here.
