  • Scan result

    Hy,
yesterday my boyfriend have CT result after 4XBEP.
He had 12 mets in lung and only LInfonode of 30 mm.

After chemio, the scan result says that all lung metastasis are reduced, now he has only two very small metastasis (3mm and 4mm). The linfonodes is reduced from 30mm to 1.2 mm.
The marker are all normal...doctor says that this a good result but I have very fear
Infact the doctor say that could be cells dead, for this the 20th may my boyfriend must repeat marker and in June he must do CT-PET. If the PET result show canceros cells he must do other chemio...

The iter of oncologist is correct? I have fear that in this time this metastasis can be grow...

    What do you think??
    Thank
    Rosy

    ps.sorry fpr my english :-)

    Rosy:
I understand your fear but this is very good news. It will take some time to be sure about the lung spots but with the markers normal and the spots shrinking it is probably just dead cancer that the body didn't get rid of yet. More testing will be done but you boyfriend may be cancer free right now. Cancer free, that sounds nice.

So far, so good. The CT will help, and the PET in August could be even more helpful.

              Hy all,
the last friday we had the new scan result
He says that the two spots in the lung are the same (3mm and 4mm) instead the spots in addom is now of 10 mm...

The oncologist say my boyfriend he must be not worry, tha marker level are normal, that we must wait for CT-PET..
I think we must hear onother oncologist..

              someone had a similar experience?
I think taht this situation will not never end, we are a lot of demoralizes.

              Thanks for your support

Hi Rosy, it is good that his markers are normal but I can understand your concerns about the spots on the scans. Lean on your doctor for understanding because I am certain they have a plan in place to help him get better.

                I am thinking of you.

                  thank you margaret..
                  sorry for my english...
the new ct scan (06/06/2007) shows two small lung nodules (3mm and 4 mm) like the ct scan of 23/04/2007, So the oncologist thinks that it's non cancer in this nodules. I have fear also if the marker are normal.

I have fear that there is cancer is must spread
