ZMA is Zinco, Magnesio and Vitamina B6

Yes away from calcium means dont eat milk, cheese etc around the same time, so I would wait atleast 2 hours before eating cheese or milk as it interferes with the absorption of ZMA.

Pardon my vitamin/supplement ignorance, but what about the above supplements is beneficial for remaining testicle pain? Are these supplements good for testicular health? I'm sure I could google this, but i'm feeling lazy today.....haha.

Zinc and Grape seed extract both lower estrogen which in turn raises testosterone, the testicular pain is due to a hormone imbalance(this pain only happens to some guys who have high estrogen levels.)
Arimidex would be the ideal medication to knock the pain out but I am not gonna try convince you guys to go through the hurdles to get on that.
The reason ZMA contains magnesium and B6 is because magnesium is a big synergist with Zinc, and b6 is the carrier, where as calcium is a zinc antagonist.
Although zinc is good for testicle health, there are atleast 150 chemical reactions in the body with zinc(even more with magnesium) and it plays a roll in prostate, brain, and bone health among others. But zinc is mostly known for its sexual and reproductive benefits, libido, fertility, hormone balance etc.

Its not gonna hurt to.. say... eat a pizza along with ZMA, but its not something to get in the habit of, I wouldnt polish off a glass of milk with every dose of ZMA.

Are estrogen levels a constant, or can they be altered through an I/O? I've never had symptoms of high estrogen from what I can tell. Also, I know the male body needs a certain amount of estrogen to stay healthy.......do these supplements possible lower estrogen to an unsafe level?
Do you know if there are long term effects to having higher than normal estrogen levels?

Aromatase = enzyme in body which converts testosterone to estrogen in both males and females, female source of testosterone = adrenal glands.
                  Estrone = 1 of 3 estrogens
                  Estradiol = 2nd of the 3 estrogens

Estrogen lowers daily as your testosterone levels lower, and are highest in the morning along with higher levels of testosterone. The rest of this paragraph is all speculation: I would imagine they tend to stay at roughly the same ratio. For some reason an i/o does change the ratio, I am not a doctor so I wouldnt know how but I would imagine its due to the ratio of aromatase enzyme and testosterone changing, so a higher % of testosterone gets converted, and also I have heard LH tends to stimulate aromatase somehow(dont have confirmation on that one).

One thing is for sure is that an i/o does significantly increase the tendancy for estrogen dominance.

The consequences of having too high estrogen in males are increase risk of breast cancer, increased and feminized fat distribution(hips, breasts), less firmer erections, lowered fertility, poorer concerntration, mood swings, low libido, much poorer quality of sex in general.

The concequences of having too low estrogen are bad aswell and include some of the above but I wont go into them, but one of them is increase risk of bone fracture. I dont believe natural suppliments can lower Estrogen below a safe level.

FTR, after my i/o my estrone(a more friendly estrogen, which is what testosterone tends to convert to the most) was actually low, while estradiol(the more potent feminizing estrogen which arimidex targets) was high.

                    got a link?

It is most likely your endo thinks your estrogen levels are normal when really there not but are still in range. I have not come across a study to show high estrogen causes testicular pain but it has been reported by many bodybuilders who have had high estrogen levels due to steroids, they claim the pain goes away after they take an aromatase inhibitor.

I haven't taken any type of vitamins/supplemts since my I/O, and I don't have pain the remaining testicle any more. I had pain "pangs" a few times a day for the first 4-6 weeks, but in retrospect, I believe the pain was due to constantly checking to be sure the survivor was healthy.....and the survivor growing to meet the needs of the body. I haven't had pains for the last 2-3 weeks.

It's been 2 months since my I/O, and I have fairly constant pain in the survivor. Examinations by both my oncologist and urologist merely found the cyst/spermatocele that I have, but nothing at/on the testis. I'll have an US next week which will hopefully provide some (more) information.

Does anybody have somewhat scientific information on what causes the pain in the remaining testicle? I'd be very interested in that.

                            Will Try

                            Michael112,

                            Thanks again.
I should read the whole thread before trying to buy the suggested ingredients in my local pharmacy and natural supplements store :
It is bodybuilders’ science, what you describe (isnt't it) and I just should go to such type of pharmacy
Finally, I found everything, but I have a dosage question.
ZMA has a little commercial hint and gives the “values per serving” 3 pills ?
Actually one pill contains 150mg Magnesium 10mg Zinc and 3.5mg Vitamin B6
The grape seed extract (big capsules) I found are something like 50 or 60 mg.
How much of these I should take per day?
(According to your suggestion that gives 5-6 capsules (!) grape seed + 3 pills ZMA; doesn’t “sound” so healthy, and the price comes about 2$ per day for this test)
                            I will try.
Hopefully, your bodybuilder buddies had and managed the pain caused by testosterone balance you described and not by all other sh** they take to be strong

                            Peter (oscar666)

Yep its from bodybuilding just like the use of armidex with TRT.

My GSE is 100mg per capsule and I take 3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon.
ZMA you can take 2-3 capsules daily.

Like I said it doesnt knock the discomfort out but it helps, I have also been once again recomended DIM which I have started again, so in the following 2 weeks I am going to be taking
3 ZMA capsules 1st thing in the morning
300mg GSE twice a day (these are much smaller capsules than the ZMA)
indoplex DIM (which I will comment on in 1-2 weeks)

Actually the person with the testicular pain was on HRT for low T not steroids, and the testicular pain ceased once taking proper medication to lower estrogen, which was high due to testosterone replacement.
Estrogen dominance happens in 2 circumstances, taking Testosterone replacement and not naturally producing enough testosterone.
