  • Tomorrow Is The Big Day!

Just wanted to remind everyone that brian goes to get his pet-scan results tomorrow and also to mee with Dr. sheinfeld!

i dont know what i am going to do!!! i will be stuck at work i couldnt take off.. and i so BADLY want to be there with him

can anyone tell me there experience with Dr. sheinfeld in the beginning? like what they remember discussing with him? we were sure if Brian was going to have the surgeries, But my guess is that if sheinfeld wants to meet with Brian, he will be having surgery? i dont think they would waste his time?

Hi dawn, I also e-mailed you.

First one of Dr. Sheifeld's 'fellows' will come in to talk to you. Ours was very nice and took a full report from us. After, Dr.S will come in, do a full exam, go over the PET scan and then answer any questions. Dr. S is not a chatty guy...he is very direct and no-nonsense about things...but he is nice and made us feel that we were in good hands. His nurses will be there and they will give him strict instructions on what to do regarding eating, drinking, pre-surgery and post surgery. Follow the rules, no questions asked, they know what they are talking about so trusting them is key.

I feel certain he would not have made the appt. with Brian just to tell him he would not be doing the surgery. My guess is that they are planning to move forward with the RPLND. You are in some of the best hands in the world.

Let us know how it goes!!

          Dawn,
I agree with everyone else. If he's meeting Sheinfeld he will recommend the RPLND and it will be soon. Just remember this guy is as good as it gets.
