  • Did anyone get complimentary therapies??

Did anyone get any complimentary therapies while they were inpatient? I put a call in to the Integrative building to see if Rob can get Reiki for the remainder of his stay. My sister and my aunt are both Reiki practicioners, we use it alot in our family and I thought since it can't hurt Rob, it might help.

He has lost 35 lbs. in three days, down to 155 (pre-surg. weight was 162). He was allowed his first glass of water today - he was in heaven!! He is recovering really well from the renal failure of last week and all his numbers have levelled out. Sheinfeld was very pleased with today's set of x-rays. This may be the week we get to go home.

    What a journey. My goodness.

Dear Stacy: Please pardon that I don't have an answer to your question...just wanted to let you know that I am so relieved on Rob's recovery updates you gave above. Tightly crossed fingers that you'll get to go home soon.

Yes, Russell has had several different therapies and is wanting more. We were advised to be careful with any herbal remedies during chemo, so as not to rock the boat on an already successful combination of chemo meds. We did so. Between chemo and after chemo we opened the doors to other support opportunities. Russell loved them! I think Reiki sounds great! Sharon

Wait until they give him apple juice, he will be on cloud 9!

His weight will continue to drop, so don't be alarmed.
