Im happy about his markers, but they are going down soooooooo slow!!!! im nervous about that. its been like almost 2 months since his last chemo, so im afraid that the chemo is loosing its effect and not killing the rest of the cancer that is in his body

I know that as long as it is coming down, it is a great sign, but i dont understand why it cant be at a zero

          Hcg

          Dawn,

To be honset it may never be zero. My husband had a really high HCG to begin with - 512,000. It has been between 1 - 3 for the last 14 months. Dr. Einhorn said it probaly will never be zero because it was so high to begin with and anything less that 5 that is not rising is fine with him.

So be glad for the 2.9. It goes down really slow in the end. My husbands went from 4.9 in the begining of July last year to 3.4 in the beginning of September and finally hit 1 after an RPLND in October.
