Hi All,
I hope you can give me some advice on what to do next. Here is a little of my history.
In Sept 2006 I had a Left Orchidectomy. It was a mixed germ cell tumor 3.6 X 3.0 X 2.0 c.m. (50% embryonal, 35% seminoma and 15% mature teratoma). The tumor involved the rete teste, no evidence of lymphovascular invasion.
Intratubular germ cell neoplasia was reported, but there was no invasion into tunica albuginea, vaginalis or spermatic cord.
I have been on Surveilence and things have been normal for the past year. All blood markers, chest x-rays and CT scans looked good.
In June 2007 I had a colonosopy. They found an agressive adenocarcinoma in one of the polys, but had not reached the surface of the bowel. I had a bowel resection with a loop ileostomy late June and the bowel tissue removed was normal.
In Sept 2007 I had a CT scan. They found one retroperitoneal lymph node at the level of the renal vessels to the left of the aorta measuring 2.8 X 1.1 cm. This has developed since the May 2007 scan.
The oncologist says that the enlarged lymph is probally related to the surgery I had in June. I am having the loop ileostomy reversed in late Oct. and the surgeon has been requested to sample/remove that node.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Wayout East
