  • gynecomastia post treatment

I had gynecomastia pre-diagnosis and it seemed to really clear up during chemotherapy. It has come back to a very small extent lately and I was wondering if anyone else with only one side I/O has experienced this. It seems like I read in a study some time ago that this can be common but I can't find info on this now. Anyone else had experience with this?

Edit: This is my first post on this board, so hello everyone and thanks very much for sharing your experiences on here which have been very helpful for me.

    Welcome to the Forum.

Out of curiosity, have you had your markers checked since you had your RPLND? If so, what do they look like?

Duh... for some reason I thought I had read 10/12/06 .
In that case, best of luck to you on the surgery (but my question about the markers stands).

I am stage III and am having the RPLND procedure done at Univ of Pennsylvania by Keith Van Arsdalen. Has anyone been treated by him? Fed, my markers are all within normal levels as of 1 month ago. Thanks for the welcome guys

My son had gynecomastia. No one ever mentioned doing anything about it. His first oncologist had his testosterone levels tested when I brought it up to him and he said it was normal.

I notice the breast size has diminished significantly since he finished chemo and RPLND, though I haven't checked to see if he still has the hard nodules under the nipple. When he gets home Im going to find out and will let you know. This was something I intended to have his new primary doctor check on as well. His appointment is tomorrow.

I talked to my oncologist and he said this is normal and nothing to worry about. Thanks for the responses.
