Hi Stacy: Much love to you and Rob and I hope you can find some relief for the current side-effects he's experiencing. Sorry I have no info to offer on this, but wanted to send you my good wishes. I've been meaning to check up on you!

    good morning -

I am about 16 months or so post chemo...and I would say it took close to 9 months...really one year before my body seemed to settle in....my legs stayed swollen for quite a while post chemo...and facial hair would come in fine, then be spotty, then fine....running or swimming...I'd be ok, then would cramp up...etc...about 2 months post chemo, I developed hard lumps in my nipples....just hormones balancing out...and by 8 months post chemo they were gone....but that one scared me...

it can get frustrating...but I'd just take the attitide that it'll be a good year until things start settling in and not worry about each little thing...just keep your appointments and you are doing all you can do.

    best wishes,

    pete

Stacy, have you called the doctor and asked them? I think it is worth a phone call.

When Brian and I lay in bed and watch tv, his legs are very jumpy, and he says he cant get comfy, then when he gets up to walk, his feet hurt alot and he limps for a bit, until he gets going. and he had mentioned alot that the back of his calves hurt too....

    Sore Skin?

    Hi everyone -

I think Rob may finally be joining us for some of his own questions... who knows, but that's what he's telling me.

In the meantime - he is having two leftover side effects: his feet are absolutely killing him, and the skin on his legs is so sensitive it hurts to scratch or touch.

We know the hands and feet seem to worsen 3 to 5 months post chemo, which is exactly where we are right now, but the pain in his feet really impedes him from having to walk around for more than just a little at a time. He's in constant pain. I've read other posts describing similiar feelings with that, so we know its common but not to what extent.

But anyone experience severe skin sensitivity, localized? His is just on his legs. We're baffled. Unless it is from all the fluid build up, which then released and took away his muscle tone. But I'm just grasping at straws.
Working...
