  • its the little things....

Brian has been out of work since April, he works for the town of north hempstead. he had ALOT of sick and vacation days to carry him through october (he always saved them)now, he is running out and needs to apply for disabilty, so that he can still be paid. his mom had given the papers to his Drs to fill out so he can send them in so that they can get the ball rolling so he can be eligible for this. well, i was sitting with Brian, his mon & dad last night, and she said, did you hear the good news? as per Brian's drs, he can go back to work in februrary 2008, which is not to far away!. this is a great thing! because they feel he will be good by then. He still has the surgeries coming up, but to hear that they think things will pretty much be back to normal 4 months! is music to my ears! . im sure that this is a tentative date, but it still makes me feel good. like i said in the title , ITS THE LITTLE THINGS~!

Odd how the little things become BIG things during this process..... way to go and I do hope Brian gets back to work as soon as he can - very uplifting news indeed!!!

Great News Dawn. I'm happy to hear that things are looking up. Also good luck with your wedding plans. Do you have a place picked out for the reception? I was married at the Jericho Terrace. Its a beautiful place.

                Dome Room?

I was born and raised on LI and only recently moved to PA. Before moving I was living in Elmont. I know a bunch of people that work for the town hempstead, mostly in sanitation. I might know some of the same people as Brian.

I only have great things to say about the Jericho Terrace. The food was incredible and everything was top notch. I was married there in March of 1997 just after they renovated. We had the dome room and its renovation was completed just a few weeks before our wedding. Yes we were very worried that it wouldn't be done in time but everything worked out perfect.

Dawn, you're right... it is the little things that matter. It also gives you a time frame for when things will be looking up and feeling more normal.

Hooray for November weddings!! Rob and I were married 11/6/99 and still loving every minute of it!
