    I recall the CT was clear but don't recall if you posted markers. With seminoma there will not be any AFP but MAY be bHCG. My not-a-doctor opinion is that with the size of the tumor and the presence of lymphvascular invastion your nephew is best with RT. Again, cisplatin (1-2X) is a newer therepy and can be considered, although it's not been around long enough for early stage TC to have a lot of data of efficacy, and the long term effects will take a while to elucidate. Surveillance is really not an option, IMHO.

    Either way, seminoma is highly responsive to chemo and RT and your nephew is on his way to a cure.
    Retired moderator. Husband, left I/O 16Dec2005, stage I seminoma with elevated b-HCG, no LVI, RTx15 (25Gy). All clear ever since.
