  • Dr. Einhorn

I met with Dr. Einhorn and Dr. Foster in IU yesterday and today and I have to say the experience was better than anywhere I had been before (I have been to other centers of excellance). From the reception staff onwards you could not meet a friendlier and supportive team. I was very stressed because I am in recurrence but everyone made me feel so relaxed.

I had another CT scan yesterday and bloodworks, the good news is that the lymph nodes effected are growing very slowly and my tumor markers are still below the acceptable levels. Therefore, the conclusion of both Dr. Einhorn and Dr. Foster is that a repeat RPLND is both feesable and the best route, if this does not cure me I can move onto 2nd line chemo with still the same chances of success as if I had not had the repeat RPLND.

In summary, if you need any expert help, contact Einhorn and his team, he is not only a great Doctor but a great person as well.

I am now going on vacation for a week to St. Maarten before I meet my next challenge of the oepration.

    David,
You can't imagine how happy I am that you have truly found a good place to have your treatment. Your sense of relief can be felt from your post. Go enjoy your vacation in St. Maarten (while you're there have some Guavaberry liqueur... it's sweet, but it goes well with beach-like umbrella drinks ) and come back re-energized so you can kick the beast to the curb!

I'm so glad you went to see Dr. Einhorn. How great it must be to be treated at THE center of excellence for TC. I could feel the relief in your post!! I'm glad about your tumor markers and the slow growth of your l.n.

that is good news that you found dr einhorn and dr foster to be likeable. when i met dr einhorn in april i could not beleive how relaxed i felt. when we went back in july i met dr foster for my rplnd and again felt very relaxed. my humble opinion of both is that they are the types of people you want to hang with. im sure there are others but they are good at what they do. you are in very good hands.
