  • Back from the I/O

    Hi everybody,

I had my right orch yesterday at 9am and they sent me home at 6pm. The urologist who did the orch said it is probably a seminoma at an early stage. Today I can stand the pain with no painkillers, so generally I'm feeling fine.

I guess all I can do now is wait for the pathology report and CT scans.

    Marco,
Sounds like you are doing fine! Waiting for the path is the hard part. If this is early stage seminoma we may already be cured!

Glad to hear you got the I/O over with. Sounds like things went well. Let us know when you get the path report and even if you feel good, keep your activity level moderate for a couple of weeks.

Great to hear that the I/O went without a hitch. One more piece of advice... don't watch any funny shows on TV... laughing might make the incision hurt a lot (same goes for coughing and sneezing). Good luck with your recovery, and let us know once you get the path report back.

Great news on the successful surgery! An early stage seminoma is a very promising preliminary opinion!

Thank you all! also for your valuable suggestions. In fact, I had a pair of painful moments today was when I was watching the Simpsons on TV I'll have to suspend that for a while!

Marco - a tidbit that may help. Instead of eating solid food, drink SlimFast or Carnation Instant Breakfast as your meals for the first few days after surgery. This will keep you off the toilet, which I promise isn't a fun experience right after the I/O.
