  • I should be excited, right?

    Hello all!!
Just wanted to let everyone know that Brian had his 1st marker test yesterday since Oct. 9th..... He saw the liver surgeon and got his staples out. everything looks good! he went over the pathology and stated that it was all necrotic!!.... i spoke to the nurse around 5 yesterday and she read off the marker results....

AFP = 4.0 (which she said was normal)
BHCG = "no measurable amounts" !!!!!

does that mean Bhcg is not there anymore?does that mean "0"? she was excited about that! so was i, i even called back to make sure she gave me the right results!! .... has anyone gotten those same results before??

That's wonderful news. Just don't get hung up on the numbers all you need to know is that they are in the normal range. Congratulations and enjoy popping that cork.

Dearest Dawn.....you need only the for this one! No measureable amount means it is below the detection limit of the assay, which is VERY sensitive. Don't stress on "0"....it's all good news, get rid of the and and celebrate!!!!!
