  • Lightheaded foggyness to head(just finished 4th round)

hey guys, I have felt this before...

its a feeling of like just standing up too fast when I am dehydrated, I get lightheadedish, and I have sort of an ongoing foggy feel roughly for a good part of the day. My bloodpressure is good, but its just I'll do some minor taskes and feel kinda foggy, and my pulse feels like it starts to climb really fast.

    the foggyness isn't too bad.

but the lightheadedness was around a bit the other round but seems like its building up on me.

Any thoughts, just think my numbers are pretty damn low, do to the build up of 4 rounds, I am do to start 5 days fo neoupogen today.

Maybe I will start feeling better after my shot.

any tips? to help this? being real hydrated, and focusing a bit more on protein and carbs...

I stopped all my medicine yesterday... was taking zofran, promethanzine, and took one or two iso-something or other(new doc gave to me for this round just in case, didn't really need)

I have been pretty good with nausea in the past, and doing pretty decent now.

Rather have less chemicals in my body if possible

I had the same thing happen to me during my second and third round of BEP and both rounds of TIP. Everytime it was due to low blood counts. The Neupogen will help but it does usually take a few days to start taking affect. If you haven't taken it before you can expect some bone pains and aches ( as if your not going through enough as it is). I did find that eating a Peanut butter sandwich when the lightheadedness was bad usually helped alot do to the protein in the P.B. and the carbs in the bread. The one thing that you really need to have checked when you start feeling like that is your platelet count. You don't want to start bleeding out. Low platlet count usually(not always) goes hand in hand with the low blood count. By the way Congats on finishing up the 4 th round. It feels great to have the chemo demon behind you- Now you just have to get rid of the side effects.
