  • Shingles not getting any better

My bout with Shingles is not improving, rather it is getting worse. I finished Anti-viral Meds on Saturday. It has now spread to my lips, ears, and to a place where I would not care to mention. I am going to call my oncologist today, but wanted to know if anyone here may have had this while undergoing there Chemo treatments. I am supposed to have my 3rd Bleo push tomorrow, but not sure if I should. This really seems so much like poison Ivy the way it Blisters, leaks, and spreads, But my Dr. thinks that it is Shingles and brought on by Stress. I know it is not Poison Ivy because I have not been anywhere near any of it. Could this simply be a reaction due to Chemo? If so what should I do? I am so scared that this is going to hinder my treatments, and prolong the cycles. Well, any advice would be great. Thanks all.
Diagnosed 7/5/05, Rt. I/O 7/29/05, Nonseminoma Stage IIa, Started 3XBEP 9/06/05 changed to 4XEP due to reaction from Bleomycin. Currently surveillance.

    Not Shingles.

Hey all, Just returned from Oncologist office. Dr. has stated that he now thinks that it is not Shingle, and said it is a pattern simular to BleoMycin reaction. I have this stripe pattern all over me. It looks like I have been tied to the whipping post. He is stopping the Bleo pushes, and thinking about adding Ifosphamede along with the Cisplatin, and Vp-16. I have not heard of that anywhere on here. I have heard of adding another cycle of EP but not this one. Has anyone ever heard of this?
