Hi Eric,
Just didn't have a moment to check up on you as I was busy with Doug. I wanted to ask how you made out with your first session of Chemo. I hope that you didn't find it too difficult. Hang in there, fellow Canadian. Ellie, Doug"s Mom
I finished my first cycle last week on nov 18 th. Saturday was good but sunday was hard (dealing with weakness and a little nausea). On monday i was back to almost normal. I still have my hairs and yesterday it was pizza for dinner. Presently i feel like i never done any chemo. The only thing i hope is to see these nodes shrink soon and return to normal life. I don't know if my 3 other cycles will be the same or maybe a little harder. I am please to see that your thinking about me. I wish the best also for doug.
Eric
Stage 1 seminoma in august 2001
with invaded spermatic chord and treated with RT
Relapse november 2005, 4 BEP and now back to surveillance
Going to through my suggestion out there I doubt its too popular but it worked for me.
Seemed getting off the prescription drugs (everything non chemo but helped with side effects)
BUT I managed through my 4 rounds of chemo pretty well compared to many. I had bad constipation problems but I just laid off the anti nausea stuff.... I just have a personal belief that taking drugs to counteract the other drug is crazy, and even worse to take a drug to counteract a drug to counteract a drug.
Its just a personal opinion, if you haven't been doing so hot, I say stick with these people's advice.
