  • Does Chemo Affect any Body Organ?

    Hi Friends!
I am 24 year old guy from India. On last Thurseday i removed my Right testicle. In my CT-Scan reports I am having some multiple rounded nodular opacities on both the lungs and in some other regions.
My First Chemo will be starting on this monday.
So I want some information about CHEMO.
Will Chemo affect my body organs? (Like Lungs, Kidney)
What is the stage of my TC? (On report they wrote stage as STAGE-T4 , I just want to know whether it is advanced stage or intial stage?)

I just want to clear my mind, thats all!

    Thanks in Advance

      Welcome, Rushikey.

Early stage testicular cancer would be confined to the testicle. It sounds as though yours has spread. Chemotherapy is very effective in treating this kind of cancer, so your likelihood of being cured is excellent.

Details on staging can be found at the Testicular Cancer Resource Center, at this link. pT4 is part of the staging information, and it means that the primary tumor invades the scrotum.
