Thanks all for the reply. I cant stress again how comforting it was last year at this time to be in here asking questions and getting feedback. It really helped us all keep sane! Scott - yes it has been a year. Amazing how time flies! At least this year I dont have to beg my Doctor to give me Christmas week off of Chemo like I did last week not wanting to be sick on Christmas day.

Mom - congrats to you guys too! The year mark feels so good. About Las Vegas, we did have to go in August again (for business) and I made sure to not play that much. I think I had my lucky strike so I am content. The car now has only 3700 miles on it - we reserve it for mostly weekend driving. That car is a symbol - everytime I crank up that 400 horses I think of the fact that I completed Chemo just 3 weeks before playing on the lucky slot machine.. Its symbolic.. (I know, I am weird..)

James, you and Scott hold a little place in my heart because of what you have done for us all. You and Jeff are on the same time table (reoccurrence and diagnosis, chemo, etc.) so it is nice to compare progress. Any plans for Las Vegas to celebrate, isn't it time for a new car?? When I think of that story, it makes me smile. This holiday season will be a heck of a lot better for us than last year! Dianne

Well, good to hear things are still in order with you, James.
My 1 year 'anniversary' of being diagnosed is around the corner ... ought to be interesting what feelings/fears, if any, are going to come up.

    James's Follow-up...

Well today marks one year since my hospital stay in which I learned the terrible news of my re-lapse. On Feb 11, 2006 will be my one year anniversary of completing Chemo. I am pleased to report that I had my bi-monthly scans (and monthly bloodwork) and all is perfectly clear!

For all of you going thru (or about to go thru) your Chemo, just know it passes quickly. It seems like such a long time ago that I was going thru that miserable time, but its been just a year since it started and I sit here (perfectly) healthy and moved on with my normal life - thanks to a great Doctor, great Meds, great family support and friends like all of you!
