Thank you both for the help. My doc *thinks* it's the drugs, but that's as far as it goes. He did prescribe me some beta blockers to help bring it down, but who knows....

Hi there....I had a rapid heart rate as well towards the latter part of my BEP X3 regiment. It was explained to me that the cisplatin can cause this and a bit of hypertension as well. The hypertension can last after chemo, but I'm not sure how long. My onc told me to monitor it. Also, a reduction in red blood cell count can cause "pounding in your head" and a rapid heart rate. It should subside after you rebuild your counts. Good luck with everything.

    Rapid heart rate

Hi. I just started my 2nd round of BEP last week and was curious if anyone who has gone through the chemo has had a problem with increased pulse? A couple weeks ago my doctor skipped my bleo because my pulse was 160. They were unsure of why it was so fast. Now my pulse is getting fast again. Right now it is 122, and I'm just sitting here at the computer. I tried to do some investigating and found that cisplatin could cause increased heartrate, but wanted to know if any of you had this same problem and what you did to overcome it.
    Thanks
Working...
