Here's your Heloise hint for the day:
For those of you suffering from Raynaud's phenomenon during the winter, have I got the thing for you - homemade handwarmers. Find someone who can sew, and have them sew together a couple of of 2x5 inch fabric swatches, but put in about 1/2 cup of uncooked rice inside, leaving some space so you can squeeze them easily with your hand.
Just nuke the handwarmers for about 45 seconds, and your hands will be nice and toasty during the winter months. They're easy to recharge - just put them back in the microwave. You can make larger versions that work well in bed to keep your feet warm too.
