Do you have any information about PET for non-seminomas? In the case of my son thanks to the PET, who did not want to send him, cancer was discovered in the other testicle after 2 years and they did chemo EP 4 cycles (the first was BEP 3 cycles)

You would have to know what lymph nodes were involved as the left and right testicle effect different nodes. I do not know if the nodes that are in the abdomen are from the original cancer or this second cancer. So they only took part of the second testicle but it was cancer? Are they going to remove all the testicle now? If not, are they going to do radiation on it?

there I found your answers jajaj sorry for my clumsiness, apparently it was like that, 2 years ago when they removed the first testicle, they did 3 BEP cycles and surveillance until in December 2022 a little large lymph node was seen, 14 to 17mm, so the PET scan was performed that showed cancer in the other testicle (his cancer was bilateral, but from the right they removed the tumor and preserved the testicle) in the ultrasounds he showed nothing, and in the PET showed metabolic activity in right testicle and in 4 retroperitoneal nodes
So today you do not have testicles and your largest ganglion is 5mm, because would you act with RPLDND if your ganglion measures less than 1 cm? Do you have logic that would be because of the relapse? The oncologist told him that he can stay under surveillance, that it can be 95% cure versus 100% with RPLD, what do you think? Thank you!!!!!

Typically, PET scans are not used for nonseminoma and a CT scan is used. If he had the cancer spread from the testicle each time then using EPx4 and BEPx3 makes sense to me.
